In order to obtain an official certificate, you must first visit a bank/insurance/securities company in person to apply for online banking or electronic financial transactions.

[How to issue an official certificate]
- You can apply for an electronic financial transaction by visiting a bank/insurance/securities company directly, and obtain a certificate using the ID and password submitted when applying for an Internet banking or electronic financial transaction by accessing the bank/insurance/securities company's website.
- Certificates can be issued through the bank's website, and although there may be slight differences between banks, the issuance process is almost the same. The Financial Settlement Service will issue a new “Bank, Insurance/Securities Certificate” from August 1, 2006.

Newly issued bank and insurance/securities company certificates are public certificates used for internet banking, internet insurance, and internet credit card payments, and can be issued on the bank's website.

The issuance fee is free for individuals and 4,400 won for corporations.

For details, please refer to the Financial Services Agency Electronic Certification Center (http://www.yessign.or.kr)의공인인증서) information page.
